More than 250 delegates and over 30 exhibitors enjoyed a successful and enjoyable Congress at Manchester United's Old Trafford Stadium in May 2010. As well as an iconic location delegates were treated to top class speakers, a stunning trade exhibition and a gala dinner dance later voted one of the best ever.
In fact there were lots of best ever votes from the delegate feedback including the exhibition and the food at the venue whilst Congress overall was the best since 2002.
Organising Committee Chair Karen Finch was delighted with the event which she pointed out, marked the end of a year of work “by our small band”. “Given that the subject of our opening section was ‘The Art of Brilliance” we just had to make sure our delegates went away believing that we had delivered that level of event this year”, she said.
Society President Roger Lewin was also pleased with how things went and promised delegates that the organising team had every intention of making the 2011 event better still. Afterwards he said he was particularly grateful to the exhibitors for putting on such a great show, to the speakers who I thought were excellent and to the delegates who supported their society and participated fully throughout the two days.
