Service development in hearing care

Overview
Quality Enhancement Tool
Hearing Care Assistants

Overview

Over the next few months the Society is conducting two pilot schemes which, if successful, will be of significant benefit to both the profession and those who use it.

The first relates to the use of a quality enhancement tool which could be of use in increasing the quality of the service companies and sole traders are able to offer to their clients and should be of particular help for those contemplating seeking contracts to supply the NHS.

The second pilot will lead to the introduction of Hearing Care Assistants within the indpendent care sector.  Once trained these HCA's would work under the supervison of hearing aid audiologists and help with many aspects of care provision.

The Society is looking for dispensing companies - large, medium, small and sole traders, to take part in these pilot programmes.   To find out more, click on the relevant link at the top of this page.
