MEMBERS: Accessing school provision during Covid-19

As community audiology services continue to be provided in line with the latest joint guidance from the UK’s audiology professional bodies and learned societies, it is important that registered Hearing Aid Audiologists are able to access school provision for their children to enable them to deliver their important services in our communities.

It is clear from Government guidance that registered HADs are deemed as critical workers who are eligible to access schools and educational settings for their children during the Covid-19 crisis. They have also been exempted from lockdown restrictions regarding their clinics.

Although children in early years and Year 6 at primary schools have been able to return to school from 1 June, it is important that those registered HADs with children in other year groups are able to access schools and educational settings for their children.
