BSHAA Fellow Jo Farquhar

It is with huge sadness that we announce the passing of BSHAA Fellow Jo Farquhar.

Jo passed away on Monday 9 September, aged just 59. She was a staunch supporter of BSHAA, a regular at our events and a brilliant ambassador for her profession. Our thoughts are very much with her family and friends.

Jo had been a member of BSHAA since 1991 and had more than 40 years’ experience as an audiologist, in the NHS, private and charity sectors. She founded Moray Hearing in 2009 in Buckie on the Moray Firth coast of Scotland.

Jo’s funeral has been arranged for Thursday 19 September at 2.30pm at Moray Crematorium, Broadley, Buckie. Her family have asked for donations to the charity Trees For Life instead of flowers. Trees For Life is a conservation charity dedicated to establishing new forests in the Scottish Highlands. You can make a donation at the Trees For Life website
