Council elections: download a nomination form here

In the past the entire election process for BSHAA Council members has been conducted on paper and by snail mail, culminating in a vote in person at the Society’s annual general meeting, in November.

Now as part of a series of changes to improve governance, and following a change to the Society’s articles last year, the vote will be entirely electronic and will be supervised by one of the UK’s most respected election organisations, the Electoral Reform Society.   And delegates will have to achieve a significant share of the votes to be elected to the Council.

In all there are four vacanies and members who want to discuss committing more to the profession, by standing for election or as a volunteer on one of the committees, are invited to get in touch with Professor David Welbourn, the Chief Executive by email: chiefexecutive@bshaa.com .

Nomination for Council open from 26th August to 24th September. Members can find out more by logging in to the members’ area of this website and heading for Society News.  When voting begins, ballot papers will be emailed.

Download a nomination form   Other paperwork will be added when it is available together with a link to the voting portal.

The AGM will take place at Mary Hare on the 26th November, followed by another opportunity for important Professional Development.
