The Role
Oticon Limited has a vacancy within the Technical Support Department for a Technical Support Advisor. As a leader in the hearing industry, Oticon utilises the most modern technology to achieve our goal - helping people live the life they want with the hearing they have. Based in Hamilton, Scotland and reporting to the Technical Support Manager the responsibilities include:-
Key Responsibilities
• Providing audiological and technical support to our customers. This includes fitting support, instrument selection, software and hardware support
• Providing audiological support and product knowledge to Oticon employees, this includes developing training materials for internal use
• Participation in new product launches and delivering customer seminars
Required Skills & Competencies
• Experience within the field of Audiology (Hearing Care Assistant / Hearing Aid Dispenser / Audiologist) or Technical Support / Technical Customer Service / Helpdesk background.
• Excellent communication skills, including a professional telephone manner
• Experience in the selection and fitting of Oticon or Bernafon Hearing Instruments would be an advantage but not essential.
• Experience with Microsoft applications and Microsoft Operating Systems would be an advantage
• Ability to multi-task
• A team player with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
