NHS England webinars on commissioning services for people with hearing loss
14 June 2017
NHS England is staging a series of webinars in July on commissioning services for people with hearing loss.
Fiona Carragher, NHS England Deputy Chief Scientific Officer, and commissioners from Coventry Rugby CCG and West Hampshire CCG will be looking at how to implement the Commissioning Services for People with Hearing Loss – a Framework for Clinical Commissioning Groups.
The webinars will offer examples of best practice and innovative approaches to commissioning services in the NHS “in order to make sustainable savings and reduce the pressure on services across the system”. There will be opportunities for questions. The webinars will be held between 3.30pm and 5pm on the following dates:
10 July
17 July
18 July
BSHAA Chief Executive Prof David Welbourn has welcomed the webinars. He said: “The webinars are designed to encourage CCGs in England to adopt the commissioning framework for hearing. They will hopefully help to ensure that the value of hearing care is not undermined by ill-informed decisions being taken by some CCGs as part of their pressure to balance budgets.”
