Dr David Engelman founded Finchley Hearing, a new independent audiology practice serving Finchley and the surrounding areas of North London. David originally hails from New York City, where he studied audiology at the City University of New York. In 2014, he was awarded with a clinical doctorate in audiology. Since then, David has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice in both the USA and the UK, as well as working for the NHS. His previous roles have included several specialties within audiology, such as electrophysiological assessment of hearing, and the monitoring of the potentially toxic effects of various chemotherapies to the inner ear. He continues to maintain a Senior Audiologist position with an NHS hospital trust serving Hertfordshire and Essex.
David's current clinical focus is the assessment and management of hearing loss in adults. He is passionate about delivering a high standard of care to his patients, using evidence-based practices. He is committed to providing unbiased recommendations in a warm and supportive environment, and looks forward to helping you and your loved ones hear better soon.
