The HCPTS is the fitness to practise adjudication service of the Health and Care Professions Council. Panels hear and determine cases on behalf of the HCPTS’s three Practice Committees: the Investigating Committee, Conduct and Competence and Health Committees. Panel members are expected to commit to five days per year to ensure skills and competencies are retained. The length and notice for tribunal appointments are variable and can fit most diary commitments and working patterns.
There is the opportunity to get involved and help to safeguard people using our registrant’s services by ensuring education and training programmes meet HCPC’s standards. Visitors also provide recommendations to the HCPC’s Education & Training Committee regarding the approval or on-going approval of programmes. Visitors may undertake up to five days work a year. A visit normally takes two days and there are monitoring responsibilities.
Please note that these are two different roles and that you can apply for one or both roles separately. HCPC pays a rate of £198 per day as well as travel and accommodation expenses in accordance with their Partner Expense Policy.
The HCPC is committed to equality of opportunity and actively guards against unfair discrimination on any grounds (including sexual orientation, religion or beliefs, race, sex, age or disability).
